Landlord leadership makes our communities stronger

Partnering with landlords is essential to our work. Housing providers may feel wary or unsure about renting to tenants with housing vouchers or subsidies, which are how many Connections participants secure affordable housing.

We provide resources for both landlords and tenants to make the rental process as smooth as possible. Tenants are given resources about lease responsibilities, communication, and budgeting, along with other wraparound services and case management. Landlords are provided with a streamlined tenant referral process to help fill vacancies quickly. Rent is guaranteed through subsidies or vouchers paid on time and in full, and Connections offers case management for tenants and support for landlords.

To engage local landlords and find ways to make renting to Connections’ tenants easier, Connections recently formed a Landlord Engagement Taskforce. Just last week, the Taskforce hosted a Landlord Appreciation Breakfast where local housing providers could come connect with each other and learn about the ways Connections can support them.
