Use your voice to make a difference

Advocates and allies advance our mission by supporting policies that will expand housing opportunities for all. We take the idea of housing as a human right and advocate for it at the local, state, and federal levels.

“Connections not only wants to see you housed, they want to see you grow.”

Ten years ago, Shay was living on the street and sleeping on trains with her young daughter when she first came across Connections for the Homeless.

Shay obtained housing within a month of working with Connections and continued to utilize our full range of services. She applied for a housekeeping position at the Margarita Inn and found herself making more money than ever before. Recently, she earned a promotion to provide shelter support to others in need.

We are driven to action by stories like these. Three years ago, we launched a bold initiative to expand our ability to provide that full spectrum of services Shay needed to thrive. Our goal was to ensure we have the proper spaces, a strong infrastructure, and the team on the ground to implement our expanded programs. The Connections Community Campaign: The Power of Us is a transformational strategy to become the organization our community needs us to be.
