HONORING STEPHANIE

Stephanie joined our team of volunteers managing the front desk reception at our administrative offices at the time when was a role in transition and one that we were trying to staff completely with volunteers.

What we immediately saw in Stephanie was an ability to get things done, stay organized in the midst of an evolving system, and propose solutions for improvement. She has stayed with us through lots of change, helping strengthen our services to participants and our community.

​Beyond her work in our office, Stephanie has become one of our strongest ambassadors, connecting the agency and its mission to fellow members at Beth Emet and to other parents at her kids’ school, Harper Elementary in Wilmette.

At Harper, she coordinates regular donation drives for Connections, encourages other families to get involved, and steers people to our Amazon Wish List, which (of course) she also helped create. Similarly, at Beth Emet, she works to breathe new life into our partnership, finding new ways to strengthen our work together.

​​“Working with this amazing team motivates me to inspire others to live their daily lives in ways that also make an impact… from my kids, to my friends, and our school and our synagogue," Stephanie shared while being honored recently for her work.

We are both fortunate and grateful to have her passion and commitment to this work. Stephanie is helping to transform the agency and our community, and she truly embodies our core values with her generous of spirit, resilience, and commitment to bettering our community.
