What we accomplished over the last year is extraordinary. We served a total of 3,500 people including Kira. Kira, a Registered Nurse, Loyola graduate, and mother of two was evicted. Her former spouse had stopped making mortgage payments for their north suburban home without her knowledge. She called Connections. We answered and moved Kira and her family into our hotel operations with 250 other households. Prior to the pandemic, we didn't have the capacity to shelter women and families. Generous supporters changed that. Our approach, operations, and capacity changed for the better.
