Throughout the year, we gather our staff and supporters to celebrate and honor the recent accomplishments of our program participants, staff, and volunteers. During the Celebration, we share our honorees' achievements and invite them to share their stories with those gathered.
Milestone Celebrations begin at 6:00pm. Following the program, all guests are invited to stay for a community dinner with our honorees, as well as the residents of our shelter, served at 7:00pm.
We invite you to RSVP for one of our upcoming Milestone Celebrations.

Honoring Javier's Resilience + Generosity of Spirit
Javier had been sleeping in shelters, on the street, or any space he could find to rest his head for the night when he connected with Connections' street-based Outreach Specialist. Javier was trying to manage some health issues that made it impossible to work, and therefore he had no income.
Not long after engaging with the Outreach Specialist, Javier was housed through our Permanent Supportive Housing Program and was approved for disability benefits. Now, almost three years later and with the stability of a home, Javier has actively engaged in his church, eagerly hosts visitors at his apartment, and volunteers at Connections whenever an opportunity is presented.
Javier cares deeply about his family and supported them as they recovered from the devastation of Hurricane Maria. He continues to think about his future and talks about his goals and how to achieve them.
