Just last year, Jelani Davis lost his housing and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He couldn’t afford an apartment and had nowhere to turn. Fortunately, Jelani got in touch with Connections and was able to stay at the Margarita Inn from November until February, when he moved into his new apartment!
Stories of people losing their housing in the face of a health emergency are more common than they should be. So many of our neighbors cannot afford to keep a roof over their heads, and the problem is only growing. Connections works to make housing affordable for everyone, because we know that housing is a human right. Make a donation today so we can continue to make housing affordable for all. |
